Thermal Coal Sales Contract Between Yanzhou Coal And Shandong Increase 21.2 Percent

Yanzhou Coal reported doing thermal coal sales contracts for 2010 with China’s Shandong province. The price of thermal coal sales contracts for the year 2010 rose 21.2 percent compared to last year. Coal sales contracts thermala approximately 10.1 million tons of coal. The average price for 2010 thermal coal contract wa 578.26 yuan per ton.
Among the total number of thermal coal to be supplied under the 2010 Provincial Sales Contract Thermal Coal, 4,290,000 tons of thermal coal are recorded as sales quantity under the 2010 State Key Thermal Coal Sales Contracts, sales quantities are fixed at the same level compared with the quantity of sales under the 2009 Key State Thermal Coal Sales Contracts. The average base price (including tax) for 2010 Key State Thermal Coal Sales Contracts RMB503.86 per ton, which represents an increase RMB40.02 per ton or 8.6% compared with an average base price (including tax) under the 2009 State Key Thermal Coal Sales Contracts.
The increase in thermal coal sales contract in 2010 has been estimated previously. Some observers predict will be an increase in the sales price of coal to China and was followed by increasing coal demand. Some mining companies have been exploring development plans of coal mines and increasing coal production in 2010.
