China Coal Buyers Plans Purchase Coal From South Africa

China is a major market for coal producers around the world, because the demand for coal imports to China is very high in the year 2009. China planned to import coal from South Africa. Coal buyers from China have been looking for some cargo wharf for shipping coal from South Africa to China for the year 2010. Purchase of coal from South Africa can save shipping costs, because the shipping cost of coal estimated to be 5 per ton. But buyers of coal from China will compete with coal buyers from India who have made a third purchase of coal from South Africa.

One of the traders who sell to the Chinese power plants says “They all asked for it, some of each robe, it all has to do with FOB spread between Australia and South Africa, but it remains to be seen whether they will pay the market price.
