Gold mining company, Yukon-Nevada Gold signed a contract with the developer in Jerrit Canyon mines, Nevada. Mining site to be operated about 50 miles from Elko, Nevada. Mines operated by the United States Queenstake Resources, the mining subsidiary of Yukon-Nevada Gold Corp..
SMD President Ron Guill said, “We are very glad to have chosen to Queenstake Resources into their contract miners for Smith Mine. We have worked in this mine before and understand it. We believe we can mine in a way that will benefit both for Queenstake and SMD. ”
Small Mine Developers will focus on the exploration of gold mines in the mines Smith. Small Mine Developer will be responsible for mining jobs, backfill, mining waste cleanup, and the development determined by them to provide the best access for the extraction of ore.
The Smith mines containing 28,100 ounces (92,500 tons averaging 0.304 choosing Au) of proved reserves and an additional 241,400 ounces (0.280 on average 861,600 tons of selected Au) of gold reserves may be much that can be accessed from the existing infrastructure. This should allow mining activities resulted in significant cash flow to the Company to complete the processing of ore itself and provide additional funds for activities other mining with minimal upfront costs. SMD will share the results of mining activities based on grade and tonnage is achieved, with both companies benefiting from efficient and effective mine planning.
