BHP Billiton Delayed To Open Coal Mining at Khutala Mine, South Africa

BHP-Billiton-LogoThe opening of coal mines in the mine owned Khutala, South Africa postponed, because of miners accident while driving a vehicle on the mine site. BHP Billiton reported the reopening Khutala coal mines have not been announced. Temporary suspension of coal mining exploration in Khutala, is likely to affect the production of coal mining company BHP Billiton.

BHP Billiton said an initial investigation indicates Gregory Goslett, a mining operations supervisor, was fatally injured when a piece of coal from a passing 25-ton truck went through the windscreen of his vehicle early Tuesday.

“The company is offering all comfort, assistance and support to Gregory’s fiancee Tarryn, his parents and those affected at the operations,” the company said.
