Copper Mining Company Workers At BHP Billiton Spence Went On Strike

BHP-Billiton-LogoUnions in the company’s Spence copper mine in Chile went on strike. Strike action by the miners because they reject the offer given wage. Strike action by miners impact on the reduction in copper production mining company BHP Billiton.

Mining company BHP Billiton production target in the Spence copper mine can reach 200,000 tons in the year to come. The number of production until 30 June to reach 172,685 tons of copper.

Copper output at the Melbourne-based company’s 200,000-ton- a-year mine continued at a slower rate, spokesman Ruban Yogarajah said today in a telephone interview from London.
